Our training sessions provide you with practical, effective, dog-friendly training from basic obedience
to challenging behavior problems.
Since the same advice may not work for two different dogs in two different situations, all training

Good Manners (Obedience) Training: Good Manners training focuses on teaching basic
skills such as:
• Sit & Lie down • Coming when called
• Walking nicely on leash • Stay
• Leave it/Drop it • Not jumping on people
• Go to your bed • Housetraining
• Crate training • Excessive barking / "Quiet" on command
• Preparing your dog for your new baby
Emphasis is placed on teaching your dog to use self-control, establishing proper leadership, and helping
you establish appropriate management and exercise routines to improve behavior.
All training exercises will be throughly demonstrated and we'll provide you with educational handouts. All
skills can be taught using clicker training, if desired.
Initial In-Home Good Manners Training session: $60/hour
Additional Session: $55/hour
Package of 2 additional sessions: $105
Package of 4 additional sessions: $210
Behavior Consultations: When dealing with a behavior problem, getting help sooner rather
than later can affect the success of the training program. Behaviors tend to get more and more
problematic the longer they play out. During the initial Behavior Consultation, we take a detailed history of
your dog's problem behavior(s) so we can get a thorough perspective on the problem and give you insight
as to why he's behaving like this. Then we develop an appropriate training and management plan for your
dog and demonstrate proper training techniques.
We offer Behavior Consultations for problems including:
• Separation anxiety • Multi-dog "pack" issues
• Fear/shyness • Crate training problems
• Housetraining problems • Body handling/grooming issues
The initial session usually lasts 1 hour but may run longer depending on the severity/number of issues
involved. We ask clients to check in with us within 6 weeks and schedule a follow-up session if
necessary.
Initial In-Home Behavior Consultation: $60/hour
Additional session: $55/hour
Package of 2 additional sessions: $105
Package of 4 additional sessions: $210
Aggression Consultations: We specialize in using humane, innovative, and respectful
methods to improve and manage aggressive behavior. We offer consultations for a variety of aggression
issues including:
• Dog-human aggression • Possession aggression (resource guarding)
• Fear biting/fear aggression • Dog-dog aggression
• Leash reactivity toward other dogs
• Intra-Pack Aggression
Each dog and situation is unique and needs a full evaluation to determine the best course of action.
Aggression is very serious and we are willing to help you and your dog work towards a solution - but
only if all family members are committed to following-through with training and management.
We ask clients to check in with us within 6 weeks and schedule a follow-up session if necessary.
Initial In-Home Aggression Consultation: $90/hour. Aggression Consultations usually run 1.5 hours to 2
hours depending on the severity/number of aggression issues involved and if other issues will be
addressed (such as basic obedience training or other behavior concerns). A detailed written report of
your dog's behavior is included in the fee and completed and sent to you within 2 weeks of your initial
session.
Additional session: $85/hour
Package of 2 additional 1-hour sessions: $165
Package of 4 additional 1-hour sessions: $330
Puppy Headstart: Start your puppy off on the right paw! Early training and extensive positive
socialization is crucial for puppies grow into friendly adult dogs. Available lesson by lesson or in a 5-
session package for puppies ages 7 to 20 weeks, we cover socializing your puppy, housetraining,
teaching your puppy to accept grooming and body handling, crate training, beginning obedience training,
and positive solutions to common puppy issues such as play-biting, chewing, and more.
Initial In-Home Puppy Training session: $45/hour
Additional Puppy Training session: $40/ hour
Package of 5 1-hour Puppy Training sessions: $180 + receive a 40% off coupon good for a Basic
Manners or Canine Good Citizen group class.
Pawsitive Adoption Counseling: We support the adoption of dogs from shelters and rescues
and offer this in-home service at a special price to recently adopted dogs. We'll evaluate your new dog's
temperament/behavior, offer advice on helping him adjust to his new home, dog-proofing your home,
establishing proper leadership, preventing behavior problems, and tips on teaching basic
manners/obedience skills. We can also help you introduce your resident dog(s) to your new dog.
Proper training and prevention of behavior problems will help you and your new dog enjoy a long, happy
life together!

Pawsitive Adoption Counseling: $50 for 1 in-home 1-hour session
**This consultation is for all dogs/puppies adopted from a registered non-profit shelter or rescue in the
past 30 days. Please have your adoption contract to show us. This session is NOT intended for newly
adopted dogs displaying aggression or other serious behavior problems. See above for Behavior and
Aggression consultations.
AKC Canine Good Citizen Testing: We are an AKC Approved Evaluator for the Canine Good
Citizen test. The CGC test is a program offered by the American Kennel Club that rewards dogs with who
have the good manners, training, and the temperament to be good canine citizens. This test open to both
purebreed and mixed breed dogs of all ages. We offer CGC testing as part of our graduation in our
Canine Good Citizen group class as well as individual testing.
AKC CGC Test (Not as part of class): $35/dog
Temperament Testing for shelters/rescues, breeders, and individuals: We offer
temperament testing services to animal shelters and non-profit rescue organizations who need to
assess a dog(s) for potential adoption. Temperament testing is also available to breeders who would
like litters of puppies evaluated. A written report of our assessment and recommendations is included.
Temperament Test for dog 6 months and older: $45/dog
Temperament Test for puppy under 6 months: $35/dog
