Clients who "no-show" for any appointment will NOT be rescheduled and will be billed a $25 "no show" fee.  

If our cancellation/rescheduling policies seem strict, please understand we work on an appointment basis.  Last minute cancellations mean
we cannot schedule another client in that time slot and is a loss of income for us.  We appreciate your understanding.      

Travel area:  Click here to see our travel area for in-home sessions.  Due to the high gas prices, we must charge a travel fee based on
mileage for appointments located more than 15 miles from our home base in Beaver Falls.  Travel fees range from $15-$35 depending on
distance.  Contact us and we'll give you an exact fee for your location.    

Dogs on a leash!  For safety reasons, we require all dogs be on-leash when we arrive at your home for your session.  If you are seeking help
for an aggression toward visitors issue, you will be given specific instructions by phone when you schedule your session.  

What do I need?  We suggest having some training treats cut into small pieces (cheerio size) at hand.  Additionally, we like to see any and all
training gear you are currently using on your dog such as training collars or harnesses.  We cover a lot of valuable information and suggest
having a pen and paper ready to take notes so you don't forget something important!

How many sessions will it take to train my dog?
This depends very much on your goals for your dog, the type and severity of the problem(s) to be addressed, your dog's current level of training,
and how frequently you are able to do your "homework" with your dog.  When you call and talk with us about your situation, we'll be able to give
you a general idea of how many sessions may be needed.      

We do not "require" owners buy a certain number of sessions nor do we believe in pressuring owners to buy package deals. Ultimately how
many you purchase is always YOUR decision.  

Can I call or email you with questions after my session?
Absolutely!  All clients receive 6 weeks of FREE phone or email support after their dog's last in-home session.  Please understand that we
may not be able to answer the phone immediately due to the nature of this business but all calls (and emails) are returned within 24 hours.    

Phone/email support is intended for the problem you initially contacted us about.  If you'd like assistance with a new or different problem, we'll
advise you to schedule another session so we can help you and your dog in person.

Does my whole family have to present for the training?
We do recommend it if possible, especially in behavior problem cases, but it is not required.      

I have multiple dogs - will you charge more to work with all of them?
Our hourly fees remain the same whether you have one dog or eight (or more!).  If the dogs have the same issues to be resolved, we can work
with all the dogs together however keep in mind that if you have multiple dogs with
different training/behavior problems you'd like to resolve,
we recommend scheduling separate sessions to ensure each dog's issues are thoroughly and properly addressed.

Training teaches dogs good manners, gives owners a way to communicate with their dog, and helps strengthen the
canine-human bond through trust and understanding.  Most importantly, training helps dogs stay in their homes as a
cherished member of the family.  

Pawsitive Results offers
"HOUSE CALLS" which are private training lessons done in the owner's home (or a public location
like a park).  

Why choose private training lessons?
  - Great for busy owners who cannot commit to a set 6-week group class.  We work with your schedule!
  - Ideal for dogs with serious problems that cannot be addressed in a group class.
  - Perfect for owners who want to work on just one behavior problem or teach just one skill (like come when called) rather
than attend an entire 6-week group class.
  - Choose a package of sessions or a budget-friendly  "pay as you go" format.   

Our goal is to provide owners not only with sound effective training, but the knowledge YOU need to be successful with your
dog at home and in the real world.  We educate owners on the "hows and whys" of canine behavior and this valuable
insight enables owners to better understand their dogs.  

We use positive reinforcement methods and treats to train.  Owners are provided with detailed written instructions/handouts
at every training session.

Scheduling:  In-home sessions are scheduled 1-2 weeks in advance and are available Monday - Friday  
between the hours of 10A and 5P and Saturdays between 10A and 3P.  We are closed Sunday and some
holidays.  If these hours are not accommodating to you, please contact us and we'll try to work with you to find a
mutually acceptable time to schedule an appointment.  

Hourly rate:  Bear in mind the rates listed above are per hour.  That means if your session runs over  the
alloted 1-hour time, your total training fee will reflect our additional time.  If it seems a session will run over,
we'll stop and ask you if you'd like to wrap it up or continue working.                                                                                 
       

Canceling & Rescheduling:  We require 24-hours notice to cancel or reschedule a training session.
We are well aware that life happens and so we have a 3-strike cancellation policy.  The first time a Client
cancels with less than 24-hours, we give them a gentle warning and reminder of our policies.  The second
time, there is a $10 fee that assessed at the next appointment, and the third time we will not reschedule the
Client.
