This beginner level training class is designed for dogs of all ages with no previous training.
The focus of this 6-week training class is teaching dogs to be great family companions!
Training skills taught Basic Manners include:
- Eye contact & focus around distractions
- Sit & Lie down on command
- Coming when called
- Walking on leash without pulling
- Stay for 30 seconds
- No jumping on people
- Leave it & drop it commands
- Fun Tricks: Spin in a circle, shake hands, & roll over
Strong emphasis is placed on:
- Resolving common training issues such as excessive barking, chewing inappropriate items,
stealing objects, digging, and more!
- Using food rewards properly for maximum benefit.
- "Human Training": establishing proper leadership, recognizing normal behavior vs potential problems, and reading dog body language.
DOG REQUIREMENTS:
- Open to dogs of all ages, including puppies 8 weeks and older.
- Proof of vaccination or a veterinary permission letter is required before joining class. If you do not bring your dog's record, you cannot
participate in class.
- Dogs should be treated for fleas/ticks.
- Class size is limited. Enroll early to ensure your place.
CLASS SCHEDULE:
Wednesday May 16 - June 20, 6-7P
Monday June 11 - July 16, 6-7P
Saturday July 7 - August 11, 11:15A-12:15P
FEE & HOW TO REGISTER:
$90/per dog for 6-week class.
